Indenture made October 19, 1809 between William Lewis of Wayne County and 
Burrell Rouse of Lenoir County, for $867.38 land in Wayne on both sides of 
Brook's Swamp adjacent to Hobby's old path, Surles line, Urbane Lewis line, 
Hogpen Branch and containing 385 1/2 acres.
Witnesses: Britton Hood and Urbane Lewis
