Wayne County, NC - Elisha Pipkin Deed, 1790 ~~~~~~~~~~ Wayne County, NC, Deed Book 5, pg 63 Indenture made on 13 Nov 1790 between Elisha Pipkin of Wayne County, NC, Planter, of the one part and the Baptist Church in Wayne County, NC under the care of Charles Hines and their successors forever, of the other part. Witness that for and inconsideration of the love and good will he hath and beareth to the Christian Faith and for the Glory of God and his public worship according to the Apostolic plan, have given and granted unto the said Baptist Church forever, a tract or parcel of land lying and being in Wayne County, NC on the south side of Falling Creek, beginning at a Black Gum in a small branch near the Spring Runs, 3 acres, being part of and included in the track that Joseph Pipkin lived on and in the spot whereon the Meeting House stands for use of public worship, together with the Meeting House thereon.
