Wayne County, NC - Deed of Lofley, Daniel to Worrele, Benj-1789 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Meredith Clapper This Indenter maid the 17th day of July in the year of our Lord 1789 between Daniel Lofley of the County of Wayne & state of No. Carolina of the one part and Benjamin Worrele of the same place of the other part witness that for and in consideration of the sum of thirty two pounds current money to me in hand paid by the said Benjamin Worrell at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt and payment whereof is acknowledged have given granted bargained bargained (sic) sold elined conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell eline inforce convey & confirm unto the said Benja Worrell his heirs & assigns forever one track or parcel of land _utated lying and being in the county & state aforesaid buted and bound as follows to wit, beginning at a pine in Benja Worrell's line or William Worrell's and runs with said line to the corner a stake near William Worrells olo? corner, then So. 48 th to a stake in the said line thence with his other line No. 80 W 40 pole to a pine called James Spear'es corner thence with his line No. fifteen W 33 pole to a stake in said line & Benjamin Worrells line then with Worrells line E 192 pole to a pine his corner thence with his other line No. 20 pole to a stake in said line thence with Lofleys line So. 38 Est 87 pole to a pine thence to the beginning containing eighty acres be the same more or less it being part of a pattern granted to the said Daniel Lofley bearing date the 18th of May and in the year of our Lord 1789 to have and to hold the said land and primes hereby granted with all appertainence thereunto belonging unto the said Benjamin Worrell his heirs and assigns forever and the said Daniel Lofley for myself my heirs Extrs Admitr doth hereby promise convey & agree with the said Benjamin Worrell his heirs Extrs adminstrators & assigns shall & will warrent and forever defend the said bargained premises unto the said Benjamin Worrell his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all incumbrance whatsoever.
