Blackman shff of Wayne County on the one part & Jonathan Pike of the same county & state aforesaid on the other part witness that the said C R Blackman shff of the county aforesaid has sold to the said Jonathan Pike for the sum of one dollar he being the last & highest bidder a certain tract of land supposed to belong to the heirs of Daniel Loftley supposed to contain about ninety four acres the sd land joins the lands of Jonathan Pike Wiley Gerript, Joshua Garrip & was sold by me the 22d day of Jany 1828 under an execution of distri__ for the taxes of said land which has not been given in & p___ by said Jonathan Pike the whole quantity for said taxes & cent? which amount to one dollar the rest & payment of which is hereby acknowledged before the signing of these presents which land & appertances I do hereby sell bargain convey & confirm to him the said Jonathan Pike his heirs exrs admr & assigns so far as I am authorized by virtue of my office free & clear from all encumbrances whatsoever by or from me or any person acting __ ___ me.
