All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Guy Potts http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00017.html#0004214 June 11, 2020, 2:28 pm Written: 1821 Wayne County, NC Register of Deeds Bk 12, pg 120 Mortgage Deed Indenture made February 18, 1821 between John McKinne and Robert McKinney both of Wayne, for $1,000 which he is indebted to the said Robert McKinne and which he wishes to secure, and in consideration that the said Robert is bound as the Security of the said John for divers large sums money and for the further consideration that the said Robert is about becoming bound with the said John and as his Security for other large sums, and of ten dollars to the said John by the said Robert in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said Robert thereof acquitted and discharged he the said John McKinne, hath granted and sold the following tracts of land in Wayne County. Tract one: on the south side Neuse River estimated to contain 1,006 acres called said McKinne's old place and to which he has title by devise from his father Richard McKinne deceased and by deed from Barna Mckinne. Tract two: on the south side of Neuse River called the Grasy ground estimated to contain 400 acres which said McKinne purchased from Richard Carraway adjoining the lands of James Bradbury and others. Tract three: on the south side of Nuse River and on Falling Creek estimated to contain 100 acres. Being said McKinn'e undivided sixth part of land descends from Matthew McKinne deceased, the brother of said John. Tract four: on the south side of Neuse River whereon the said John McKinne now resides estimated to contain 800 acres consisting of the pieces of land purchased by him from James Bradbury, Matthew Jinnett, John Hines, Andrew Bass and the heirs of Edward Bass and conveyed by the separate deeds of said persons to said John McKinne.
