Smith of Johnston, for $15,800 which is indebted to the said Alvin L. Smith and which he wishes to secure and in consideration that the said Alvin L. Smith should hereafter become the security of said Robert McKinne for divers sums of money and of the sum of $10 to the said Robert in hand paid and receipt acknowledged and the said Alvin L. Smith thereof acquitted and discharged the said Robert McKinne hath sold to the said Alvin L. Smith the following tracts of land in Wayne: Tract one on the south side of Neuse River and north side of the Beaverdam Branch adjacent to Genl. Bryan Whitfield dec'd and Joseph Everitt and containing 420 acres being the land I now live on. Tract two on the south side of the Beaverdam adjacent the same and the lands of Michael McKinne and containing 248 acres to which he the said Robert McKinne has title by devise from his father Richard McKinne dec'd. Tract three supposed to be 100 acres it geing my part of the lands whereon my mother now lives on both sides of Falling Creek adjacent to Joseph Everitt, James Cox and others it being said McKinne's undivided sixth of land that descended from Matthew McKinne his brother of said Robert McKinne. The following personal property sold to Alvin L. Smith the following Negroes: Hercules, Fillis, young Rachel, Fillis, Rigdon, Druscilla, Everitt, Savina, Nellums, Wealthy, Green, Virty, Amanda, Stanly, Keary, Alfred, Nancy, Ned Disey, Rachel, Adam, Handy, Morismen, Daniel, Runnel, Tenr and Lathy and their increase.
