GILBERT MITCHELL Deed Of Sale to NATHAN EDGERTON

THIS INDENTURE made and entered into this the Eleventh day of December 
in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty one between 
GILBERT MITCHELL of the county of WAYNE and State of North Carolina of 
the first part and NATHAN EDGERTON of the county and State above named 
if the other part Witnesseth to that I the said GILBERT MITCHELL of the 
first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty 
five dollars  to me in hand paid by him the said NATHAN EDGERTON the 
reciept and payment of which is hereby acknowledged and myself contended 
and paid and bargained sold and conveyed and by these present do bargain 
sell and convey unto hin the said NATHAN EDGERTON  his heirs and assigns 
forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county 
and state a for said on the South side of NAWHUNTA SWAMP to and 
adjoining the lands of WILLIAM EDGERTON, THOMAS EDGERTON SR.  and others 
and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a maple in a small drain near 
BUCK SWAMP  and thence North to a stake in WILLIAM EDGERTONS corner near 
a small ditch then west to a stake in WILLIAM EDGERTONS  corner thence 
South to a ditch to a gum SILLIVANTS Corner thence East to the begining 
Containing One Hundred and Twenty Acres more or less. To have and to 
hold the above named land and premises together with all singular the 
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways appertaining and I the 
said GILBERT MITCHEL do for myself my heirs and assign do warrant and 
forever defend the right and title of the same to him the said NATHAN 
EDGERTON his heirs and assigns forever free and clear from the lawful 
claim of any and all persons whatsoever In witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.

deed of sale from GILBERT MITCHELL to NATHAN EDGERTON duly proved in
