Wayne County, NC - Burwell Moring to Benjamin Exum, 1782 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wayne County Deed Book, pg 97 This Indenture made the 14th day of October anno Dom 1782 between Burwell Moring esq. of Wayne County of the one part and B. Exum of the County of Dobbs of the other part Witnesseth that the said Burwell Moring for and in consideration of the sum of two pounds Specie to him in hand paid hath granted Bargained and sold and doth hereby grant bargain and sell unto the said B. Exum his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcell of Land Situate lying and being in Wayne County in the State of North Carolina on the so. side of button branch Beginnng at a Stake on said branch and runs a so. West Course to a Stake in said Morings old field thence a so. E Course to a Stake thence a no. East course to the run of button branch then down the run of said Branch to the beginning containing one acre land be the same more or less together with all woods waters heridiments and appurtenances to the said One acre land belonging or appertaining to the said B.
