William M. Peryear to Thomas W. Pridgen

This Indenture made this the 13th day of January in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and fifty two between William M. Peryear of the Town of 
Goldsboro and Wayne County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Thomas 
W. Pridgen of County of Wayne and State of North Carolina of the second part 
Witnesseth that the said Wm. M. Peryear for and in consideration of the sum of 
one hundred and twenty five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Thomas W. 
Pridgen the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained 
sold and by these presents hath bargained sold aliened enfeof and conveyed unto 
the said Thomas W. Pridgen or his heirs and assigns forever all of two certain 
lots or parcels of land situated lying and being in the Village of Everittsville 
in the County of Wayne and State of North Carolina and known in the plan of said 
village as No (2) two and (12) twelve to have and to hold the bargained lots or 
parcels of land with all and singular the improvements consisting of buildings 
premises ways waters water courses mines and minerals to the same belonging or in 
any ways appertaining thereunto and I the said Wm. M. Peryear by these presents 
obligate and bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and 
ever defend the right and title to the above named lots and premises of land unto 
the said Thomas W. Pridgen his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all 
rents and claims or demands of me my heirs executors administrators and assigns 
and every other person or persons whatsoever in witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand and seal the day and date first above written.

Then was the above deed of sale from Wm. M. Puryear to Thomas W. Pridgen duly 
proved in open Court by the oath of D. B. Everitt a subscribing witness and 
ordered to be registered.
