Wayne County, NC - Deed - Lovet Pipkin to Benjamin Rose Jr, 1819

This Indenture made the 11th day of December in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Lovett Pipkin of the
state of North Carolina an County of Wayne and Benjamin Rose Jr. of
the same place and County of Johnston of the other part Witnesseth
that the sd Lovet Pipkin for and in consideration of the sum of two
hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the
signing sealing of these presents the receipt and payment whereof is 
hereby acknowledged that I am therewith fully satisfied contended and
paid have given granted bargained and sold unto him the said Benjamin
Rose his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land
situate lying and being in the aforesaid county of Wayne on the west
of Kelleys Branch beginning at a pine in said branch at the mouth of
a small branch and runs S 45 W 171 poles to 3 pines by a small blue
pond Peggy Pipkin's corner, then her line S 55 E 87 pole to a pine
thence N 45 E 200 pole to Kelly's Branch then up the meanders of said 
branch to the beginning containing one hundred acres

To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises with all singular
the priveleges profits benefits and appurtenances thereunto belonging
or in anywise appertaining unto him the said Benjamin Rose his heirs
and assigns forever and I the said Lovet Pipkin doth for myself my heirs
Exect'rs & adm'rs convenant and agree to warrant and forever defend the
aforesaid land and premises free and clear from or against the lawful 
claim or claims of any manner of persons whatsoever unto him the said
Benjamin Rose his heirs & assigns forever

In Witness whereof I the said Lovet Pipkin have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal the day and year first above written
