Wayne County, NC - Willis Pipkin to Moses & Asher Pipkin, 1812 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This Indenture made the 6th day of Apl 1812 between Willis Pipkin of the State of No Carolina & County of Wayne of the one part & Moses & Asher Pipkin his two grandsons of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that I the sd Willis Pipkin for & in consideration of the Love good will & affection I have & do have to my two sd grand children & for the better maintenance of them the sd Moses & Asher Pipkin have given granted & let gave over unto Moses & Asher Pipkin their heirs & assigns forever a certain piece or parceil of Land situate lying & being in the County aforesaid on the North Side of faling Creek & on the north side branch beginning at a stake on the run of sd branch being -- Branch between Mills Pipkin & Wm Bizzell in the patent line & runs No to apine the corner of a patent Mills Pipkin dec'd lived on then with the patent line No. 86 1/2 Et 178 poles to a black jack the corner -- the branch -- line then with the same S 45 Et 103 poles to apine Loverd Pipkins corner then with his line S 56 Et 340 poles to a stake & pine -- his corner in Henry Stevens line then with the line S 20 Wt 50 poles to the run of faling Creek then up the run of sd Creek as it meanders & the run of Branch on the aforesaid dividing branch as it meanders to the first station containing six hundred & sixty six acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid granted premises together with all & singular the profits benifits privilidges & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the sd Moses & Asher Pipkin their heirs & assigns fore ever my life only accepted & I the said Willis Pipkin doth promise & agree to binding myself my heirs executors administrators & assigns to wave and forever defend the above mentioned land & premises from an agavite the lawfull claim or claims of any -- of person or persons whatsoever claiming by -- of them unto the said Moses & Asher Pipkin their heirs & executors Admr's & assigns forever my life only excepted as aforesaid I witness whereof I the sd Willis Pipkin has hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the day & year first written Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of us Steward Pipkin May Term 1812 Willis Pipkin {Seal} [Note: Willis Pipkin was the son of Joseph Pipkin who was the son of John Pipkin who left a will in 1745 in Chowan County, NC] ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
