Steward Pipkin to Edith Pipkin

Bond for Title

State of North Carolina Wayne County
Know all men by these presents that I Steward Pipkin am held & firly bound 
unto Edith Pipkin in the sum of five hundred pounds, to which payment well & 
truly to be made & done I bind myself my heirs exors admrs or assigns 
jointly & severally by these presents sealed with my seal & dated this 18th 
day of April 1818.

The condition of the above obligation is such that of the above bounden 
Steward Pipkin do and shall give up all this right title claim or interest 
of one half of the Dwelling House the said Edith Pipkin now lives in being 
the East end of said House unto her the said Edith Pipkin & not interrupt 
her in the same then the above obligation be null & void otherwise to remain 
in full force power and virtue.
