Asher Pipkin to Micajah Cox

Mortgage Deed

Indenture made February 21, 1843 between Asher Pipkin and Micajah Cox both 
of Wayne, for and in consideration of $800 I grant bargain sell and deliver 
to Micajah Cox land where Asher Pipkin now lives adjoining Richard Rainor 
and others containing 487 acres.

The condition of these presents is such that whereas the said Micajah Cox is 
standing security for said Asher Pipkin to one John Atkinson in two bonds or 
promissory notes and interest thereon, one for the sum of $206 and the other 
for the sum of $500.30 bearing date with these presents which will more 
fully show by reference to said bonds or promissory notes and whereas the 
said Asher Pipkin is honestly desirous of securing and saving harmless the 
said Micajah Cox in the said security and now therefore if the said Asher 
Pipkin shall well and truly indemnify and save harmless the said Micajah Cox 
so that he shall come to no loss trouble or damage then these presents and 
every part and clause thereof shall be void otherwise to remain in full 
force and effect. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal.
