November 14, 1885 – Deed - 65 acres - $300

Lucius Potts and wife Frances of Wayne County to W.S. Farmer
Adjoining Hannah Stafford, Cain Roberts
Begins at a black gum on the fun of Sleepy Creek (a prong of said creek)
Roberts corner & runs thence N 7 W 23.70 chs to a stake in Spring Bank
road, then with said road N 53 degrees 15' E 11.66 chs to the New Berne
road, then with the same S 61.15 E 13.94 chs to a stake corner of lot No 9,
then with line of said lot S 8 degrees 30' W 38.50 chs to a pine on run
of a prong of Sleepy Creek, then up same as it meanders to a north prong,
then up same to the beginning containing 65 acres more or less, being the
lot No 8 in the division of Newman Potts as recorded in Liber 54 page 44, 
less about two acres sold by said Lucius Potts to Cain Roberts & excepted
from this conveyance.
