Indenture made December 14, 1840 between Robert D Smith and James H Lewis 
both of Wayne, for $1,550 land in Wayne, several tracts, the home tract of 
land lying on the west side of Bear Creek and north side of Dawson's Branch 
adjacent to Dawson's corner, patent granted to William Dawson for 100 acres, 
run of Spring Branch, Giles Smith's line and containing 148 acres.
Second tract at the road where the Spring Branch crosses adjacent to small 
branch formerly the dividing line between sd R D Smith and Theo's Smith and 
containing 43 3/4 acres.
Third tract containing 113 acres.
Fourth tract drawn by R D Smith beginning at a stake in the lane, Zilpha 
Ham's corner, run of Bear Creek, Wm B Smith's corner. No acres given
Fifth tract drawn by Carin Ham given to R D Smith adjacent to Saunders 
Smith's corner. No acres given
Witnesses: W H Gardner and Robert Williams
