Deed made 17 Jan 1880 between John C. Collier, William T. Dortch and John R. 
Smith of the first part and H. L. Grant of the second part, for $200 land in 
Wayne bounded by a stake on the old Waynesboro Road where it intersects the 
boundary line of the NC railroad and runs southwardly along said road to H. L. 
Grants corner on said road, with his line to another of said Grant's corners, to 
the boundary line of said railroad, to the beginning containing 10 acres more or 
less. Recorded Feby 27, 1880. [NOTE: railroad would still be going through 
downtown Goldsboro until 1926 when the tracks came up]
