Samuel Smith to James D. Campbell
Lots # 15 & 24
Wayne County Deed Book 24, p 399

This Indenture made this the thirty first day of October in the year of our Lord 
eighteen hundred and fifty five between Samuel Smith of the first part and James 
D. Campbell of the second part, both of the county of Wayne and State of North 
Carolina, witnesses, that the said Samuel Smith for and in consideration of the 
sum of six hundred dollars received of the said James D. Campbell has bargained 
and sold and by these presents does bargain sell and convey to the said James D. 
Campbell and his heirs a certain house and lot in the Village of Everittsville 
county aforesaid known in the plan of said village as lot No. 15 lying in the 
north west corner formed by West and Wright streets, and containing about one 
acre also the lot No. 24 adjoining the aforesaid lot on the west side containing 
one acre to have and hold to the said James D. Campbell and his heirs forever. 
And the said Samuel Smith does hereby warrant forever the title of said lots to 
the said James D. Campbell his heirs and assigns. In witness whereof he has 
hereunto set his hand and seal the date above written.

Then was the foregoing deed of sale from Saml. Smith to James D. Campbell duly 
proved before me by the oath of John Everitt one of the subscribing witnesses 
thereto and let it be recorded.
