Indenture made September 13, 1856 between William & Elizabeth Vernon of the 
one part and Robert Peel of the second part, and Laban W Lewis and wife 
Zilpha of the third part all of Wayne, for $1000 paid by Laban W Lewis and 
wife Zilpha as well as for the further consideration of one dollar to them 
in hand paid by said Robert Peel and do sell to Robert Peel land in Wayne 
adjacent to H Grimes corner, Lydia Smiths corner containing 170 acres being 
the same lots of land, 83 acres of which was allotted to Elizabeth Vernon in 
the division of the lands of James Peel dec'd and 87 acres was purchased 
with money coming from said estate to said Elizabeth Vernon.
