Hudson and wife Mary Hudson of Wayne county State of North Carolina to Elizabeth Warrick of Wayne county State of North Carolina. Witnesseth that said C.J. Hudson and wife Mary in consideration of sixteen hundred dollars to them paid by Elizabeth Warrick the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said Elizabeth Warrick her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns a tract or parcel of land in Wayne county state of North Carolina adjoining the lands of James McCullin, Act Grantham, the Council Warrick Place and others bounded as follows viz: Beginning at a black gum on the main run of Falling Creek, A.a. Grantham SE corner and runs with his lane N9E 15 poles to a stake near the graveyard, then D81# 4 poles to a stake then N9 6 poles to a stake, then N81W 4 poles to a stake in A.A. Grantham line then his line N9E 53 poles to a stake then N80E 28 poles to a stake then N40E 3&1/4 poles to a stake, N42E 62 poles to a stake then N27E 34 poles to a stake on the road then along said road N62W 16 poles to a sweet gum in a small branch, then up said branch as it meanders to a small pine W.B. Hood's corner then S82E 108 poles to a stake then S19W 19&1/4 poles to a sump then S80W 3 poles to a pine stump then S21W 62 poles to a dead pine stump then S7E 16poles to tow hollys on the run of McCullen branch, then down the run of said branch as it meanders to a sweet gum, Jas McCullen corner, then with said McCllen line S52W 76poles to a stake then W5poles to a stump then S12W 164poles to a water oak on the run of Falling Creek then N65W 94poles to a small post oak then S64W 31poles to the main run of Falling Creek at the fishing hole then up said creek run as it meanders to the beginning containing two hundred and seventy four (274) acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Elizabeth Warrick and her heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof. And the said C.J. Hudson and wife Mary Hudson covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and has right to convey the same in fee simple, that the same are free from all encumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said C.J. Hudson and wife Mary Hudson have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written. Hudson and Mary Hudson his wife personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed and the said Mary Hudson being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto Let it be registered.
