Wayne County, NC Register of Deeds, Bk 44, pg 495

Indenture made 7 January June (sic) 1878 from Job Warrick Sr. to Council Warrick 
his son both of Wayne, that we the said Job Warrick Sr. and Clarissa Warrick for 
and in consideration of the love and good will & affection we have for my said 
son Council Warrick and more especially for his better maintenance, also for the 
further consideration of the sum of one dollar to us in hand paid and that we 
Job Warrick Sr. and wife Clarissa set over to Council Warrick land in Wayne on 
the south side of Horse Swamp adjacent to a stake on the ditch near Horse Swamp, 
James Warricks line, C. J. Hudsons corner, my original corner, a new chopped 
line I made for the said Council Warrick, containing 50 acres. Wife privately 
examined. Witnesses: Kinchen Cogdell and Pennia Johnson. Registered 9 Oct 1879.
