Wayne County, NC - Joel Warters to Needham Warters, 1835

This indenture made the 17th day of August 1835 between JOEL WARTERS of 
the state of North Carolina and county of Lenoir of the one part and 
NEEDHAM WARTERS of the said state and county, son of the said JOEL 
WARTERS of the other part. Witnesseth that the said JOEL WARTERS as well 
for as in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath 
and beareth unto the said NEEDHAM WARTERS, his son, as also for the 
better maintenance and  preferment of the said NEEDHAM WARTERS hath 
given, granted, aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give, 
grant, alien and confirm unto the said NEEDHAM WARTERS all the lands 
and tenements in Wayne County beginning at a lightwood stake, CHELLY 
SPEERS corner and runs with her line to BARNA McKINNE line then with 
BARNA McKINNE line to LEWIS WHITFIELD line then round to the beginning 
containing seventy three (73) acres more or less with all and singular 
its appurtenances and all houses and out houses, rents and services of 
the said premises and all the estate right title interest property 
claim and demand whatsoever of him the said JOEL WARTERS of and to the 
said lands and premises and of and to every part and parcel thereof 
with the appurtenances and all deeds evidence and writings concerning 
the said premises only now in the hands and custody of the said JOEL 
WARTERS on which he may get or come by without suit at law. To have and 
to hold the said lands and tenements hereby given and granted or 
mentioned or intended to be given and granted unto the said NEEDHAM 
WARTERS his heirs and asigns for ever and the said JOEL WARTERS for 
himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and grant 
to and with the said NEEDHAM WARTERS his heirs and asigns by these 
presents that the said NEEDHAM WARTERS his heirs and asigns shall and 
lawfully may from hence forth forever hereafter peacely and quietly 
have hold occupy possess and enjoy the said ______ tenement lands 
hereditaments and premises hereby given and granted or mentioned or 
intended so to be with these appurtenances free clear and discharge of 
and from all former and other gifts grants bargains and sails 
preferments jointers dowers estates entail rents, rent charges 
acreacages of rents and of and from all other titles troubles charges 
and encumbrances whatsoever had made commited done or suffered to be 
done by him the said JOEL WARTERS his heirs executors or administrators 
or any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim by from or 
under him them or either of them . In witness whereof I have set my
