This Indenture made this 25th day of Auguste in the year of our lord one 
thousand eight hundred and twelve between Sally Casey William Casey and 
Richard Casey all of the State of North Carolina and county of Wayne on the 
one parte and William Whitfield of the same place of the other part
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and 
eighteen dollars and fifty cents to us in hand paid the receipt and payment 
whare of is here by acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these 
presents do grant bargin and sell unto him the said William Whitfield his 
heirs and assigns forever Ninty Eight acres of land situate lying and being in 
the aforesaid county of Wayne on the Easte Side of Sleepy Creek it being our 
shares of the land where on our Father formerly lived as follows to wit the 
said Sally Caseys shear thereof twenty two acres and two sevenths she having 
previously sold hir interest in hir fathers land to hir Brother Micajah Casey 
who died Intestate she therefore being intitled to one Seventh part of his 
land which makes the quantity as sevenths he having sold out his interest as 
above the said Richard Caseys shear thereof is fifty three acres and a half he 
being intitled to his distribution share of both his father and brothers lands 
as above 
To have and to holde to him the said William Whitfield the aforesaid land and 
premises together with all singular the priviledges appertaining thereunto 
belonging or in any wise appertaining and we the said Sally Casey William 
Casey and Richard Casey for our selves heirs Executors Administratos and 
assigns respectavily do hereby covenant and agree to warranty the aforesaid 
Executors administrators and assigns forever from and againste the lawfull 
claim or demand of all manner of person or persons whatsoever reserving 
nevertheless to our Mother hir righte of Dower in said land in witness whareof 
we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the day and year firste 
above writen
