Wayne County, NC - Letters - James Edgerton to unknown, 1812 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NC Archives Cox-Kennedy Bible Record Call No. 400.1.1.671 25th of 9th mo 1812 Dear [tear in paper] -le I have an oppertunity of -iting to thee by William Musgrave who is wating and in a hurry so that I shall not be able to write so full as I could wish I have been long looking for a letter from thee desiring to hear from my business in them parts, pleas to write to me by post, and let me know how Mallers stands in respect to that lawsuit - also in respect of a title bond I in closed in a letter to thee by John Pervis against Richard Cox the deed is much wanting as my son James has married Joseph Halls daughter and he has given it to him as far as he can, but is at a loss for a right from Richard Cox - Joseph Hall spoke to me a few days past, to write to thee on the occasion, and would be glad that thee would get a deed executed from Richard and send it by William Musgrave well except my self and I am much better than I was last spring - so in a great hurry I conclude and remain thy effectionate cousin James Edgerton ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
