The following abstracts from the Academy newspaper advertisements provide a 
glimpse of those associated with the Academy over the years. The location of the 
school was promoted as being very healthy and easily accessible from the 
railroad. 

June 17, 1846
The School is conducted by Misses A. J. Lester and E. L. Haskill.
The Academy building is two stories high, with four rooms, all well finished.

March 20, 1849
Under the management of Misses Richardson and Snyden.
The Trustees have provided a large and commodious Boarding House, which is kept 
by Mr. and Mrs. Morisey.

January 3, 1850
Under the management of Miss Sherbrook.

November 27, 1850
Conducted by the Rev. J. J. Smyth and Lady, late of Virginia.

Feburary 11, 1853
Under the charge of Mr. J. D. Campbell, late of Virginia, Principal.
For further particulars address the Principal, or Willis Hall, D. B. Everitt, 
John Wright, J. C. Slocumb, John Everitt, Wm. Carroway, Samuel Smith, Trustees.

May 16, 1856
Teachers Wanted - The Trustees of the Everettsville Female Academy wish to 
employ a gentleman and his wife to take charge of this Institution.

March 6, 1857
