Enlistment
Bizzell, Wooten, 1st Lieutenant
Company C, 27th Regiment N.C. Troops
Resided in Wayne County and enlisted in Lenoir County at age 32, April 17, 
1861. Mustered in with an unspecified rank and was promoted to Sergeant on May 
1, 1861. Elected 3rd Lieutenant in August, 1862, and was promoted to 2nd 
Lieutenant on September 18, 1862. Promoted to 1st Lieutenant on October 14, 
1863. Captured in hospital at Richmond, Virginia, April 3, 1865.
