Duplin County, NC in the Civil War, Sergt Maj Regt, captured
at Gettsburg, PA, in prison until close of the war

David J. Broadhurst, Wayne County, NC - enlisted 16 Apr 1861 in
Duplin County, NC, Sgt Maj Regt, promoted 1 Mar 1863 to Captain
in Co. K., lost a hand at Chancellorsville, wounded at Cold Harbor

Both were in Co. E., 20th NC Reg. NC Confederates
