Mustered in as Private and was promoted to Corporal in November, 1862- October, 1864. Wounded on an unspecified date and was hosptalized at Richmond, Virginia, on or about April 2, 1865. Captured in hospital at Richmond on April 3, 1865. Transferred to Newport News, Virginia, April 23, 1865. Released at Newport News on June 30, 1865, after taking the Oath of Allegiance.
