Hinson, George A., Private
Company C, 27th Regiment NC Troops
Born in Wayne County where he resided as a farmer prior to enlisting in Craven 
County at age 30, October 3, 1861, as a substitute for Corporal Benamin F. 
Sutton. Present or accounted for until he died in hospital at New Bern on 
December 12, 1861, of "typhoid fever."
