McDonough, Peter, Private

Resided in Wayne County where he enlisted at age 29, May 29, 1861, for the 
war. Captured near Fredericksburg, Virginia, May 3, 1863, and paroled and 
exchanged at City Point, Virginia May 10, 1863. Present or accounted for until 
left sick at Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, where he was captured on June 24, 
1863. Confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware, until transferred to Point Lookout, 
Maryland, October 18, 1863. Paroled and exchanged in Septembger, 1864. Issued 
clothing on November 29, 1864.
