They were four or five months in coming over and landed near Savannah, GA and was in the battle there. Soon after this, he left the French Troops and went to Southampton, VA. He alleged that in 1781 he served seven months as a spy in a company of Light Horse under Colonel Blount. He applied for pension October 2, 1832 while a resident of Wayne County, NC but the claim was not allowed as it was unsupported by any evidence of service. He died about 1835 leaving a widow Telitha, her maiden name is not stated, nor is the date of their marriage given. She was living in Goldsboro in 1852 and died in 1859 leaving children, no names given.
