The location of this School was selected on account of its remarkable healthfulness. It is in Wayne county, seven miles South of Waynesboro and within 300 yards of the W. & R. Rail Road. The Academy building is two stories high, with four rooms, all well finished. The School is conducted by Misses A. J. Lester and E. L. Haskill. Ladies of high attainments and experienced in teaching. Terms Primary English branches, per session $8.00 Middle do do 12.00 Higher do do 16.00 French 10.00 Music on the Piano, with use of instruments 18.00 Drawing and Painting do 10.00 Ornamental Needle Work do 8.00 Board six dollars per month J.
