A Murderer Captured
Four Years After the Commission of the Crime
(Special to The Messenger)
Raleigh, NC November 30 - The sheriff of Wayne leaves tonight for Texas with
requisition papers for Gilbert Ward, a white man, who four years ago near
Fremont murdered Mag Dinkins, a lewd woman. His whereabouts was discovered
Sunday. He is in jail in Texas. It is said that a sister of the Dinkins woman
was murdered last year by a man named Moore in Wayne.
