Goldsboro Messenger August 13, 1883
The dwelling house of David B. Everitt, Esq., at Everittsviile in this county was 
destroyed by fire on Wednesday last. The premises were occupied by Mr. G. W. Price 
but with timely help most of his household goods were saved. The fire originated 
from sparks. We learn that M. Everitt has $1,400 insurance.
