Carolina Messenger (Goldsboro, NC) November 26, 1869

J W H Collins Foreman of the Messenger Newspaper Printing Office, certify
that the annixed advertisement Conveyance for divorce, Pauline Mitchell
vs Barna Mitchell has been published in the Carolina Messenger for six
successive week, commencing November 26 1869.
Sworn to Subscribed befor me Feby 7 1870  Clk Jno Robinson

Barna Mitchell alias James B Mitchell
It appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the defendant in this 
action, Barna Mitchell alias James B Mitchell, is a non resident of this 
state, and that process can not be served upon him, it is there fore ordered
that publication be made once a week for six succesive weeks, in the
Carolina Messenger, a paper published in the town of Goldsboro, notifying
him of the filing of this complaint and commanding him to appear and answer,
or judgemnet pro confessor will be had against him and the plaintiff
released from the bonds of matrimony.

Witness Geo. John Robinson, clerk of our said court, at office, in
Goldsboro, the first monday  of September 1869
