J. H. Edwards, officiating. On Thursday, December 22, at 3 p. m., at the residence of the bride's father, Jos. B. Parks, in Saulston township, Mr. H. E. Parks to Miss Lizzie Parks, Elder J. W. Gardner, officiating. On Monday, December 26, at 3:30 p. m., at Pine Forest church, Fork township, Mr. N. D. Gurley to Miss Phoebe Jones, Rev. B. R. Hall, officiating. At night, a reception was given at the home of the bride's father, Mr. R. E. Jones. On Monday, December 26th, at Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Henry E. Epting, Superintendent of the Goldsboro Furniture Factory, to Miss Elva B. Hand, of that city. The happy couple passed through here Friday night on a wedding tour to Florida. On Wednesday, December 28, at 6 p. m., at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Lewis, Mr. Jno. T. W. Aldredge to Miss Dora E. Lewis, Elder P. P. Gold of Wilson, officiating. A splendid collation was served to the large number of invited guests. On Wednesday, December 28, at 10:30 O'clock, at the residence of W. H. Ellis, the bride's father at Raleigh, by Rev. J. L. Foster, Mr. Jno. L. Wren, formerly of this city but now of Baltimore, to Miss Nora J. Ellis. They left on the 11:30 train for Baltimore, their future home. On Wednesday, December 28, at 3:30 p. m., at Grace M. E. church, Wilmington, Mr. Geo. C. Crone, of this city, to Miss Lizzie King, daughter of Mr. Jas. A. King, of that city, Rev. W. C. Norman, officiating. Arriving here at 7 p. m., an enjoyable reception was tendered the couple at the residence of Mr. E. W. Powell. On Thursday, December 29, at 8 p.m., at the residence of the bride's brother- in-law, Mr. J. W. Wood, in New Hope township, Mr. Walter Creech to Miss Annie R. Crawford, both of this city, Rev. J. H. Edwards, officiating. A bountiful repast partaken by the large number of guests, made the happy occasion complete. On Wednesday, December 28, at 1 p. m., at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Collins, Mr. Edwin Forsythe, of Raleigh, to Miss Carrie Collins, Rev. B. R. Hall, officiating. At 2:35 p.m., they departed for their future home in Raleigh, where a reception was tendered them that evening at 606 South Person street by the groom's mother, Mrs. S. M. Forsythe.
