North Carolina Conference
Salisbury, Dec. 10, 1868

Mr. Editor: I desire to add a few words to your notice of the late session 
of this body in Statesville. All that you stated in regard to the generous 
reception and entertainment of the body was emphatically true. It is the 
more worthy of appreciation because so large a portion of the community is 
embraced in the Presbyterian Church. It is seldom that fraternal courtesy 
appears more attractive than in its exhibition by those very liberal 
Christian friends. A very interesting scene occurred in the Conference just 
before its adjournment when the Reb. Dr. Pharr, Pastor of the Presbyterian 
Church in which the body met, arose to respond to the resolution of thanks. 

The following is the list of appointments for the ensueing year.
