We the under assigned Jurors have thus been summoned & qualifyed by William 
Thompson Shff of the county aforesaid to lay off a new road on the lands of John 
Everitt Esqr & have this day met on the premises and procede as follows beginning 
at the old road that leads from Raleigh to Newbern and runs with the new road the 
said John Everitt has cut out as it runs till it strikes the aforesaid old road 
again nearly an South 50 last course from where it starts; to where it goes in to 
the old road again and find the damage done to the public nothing at all given 
under our hands & seals this 31st day of March 1832
