We learn that is was not so considerate at some points on the W. & W. Railroad. Near Everettsville, between Dudley and the Neuse River Bridge, the storm was very severe and an immense amount of hail fell. Parties on the train say you could scarcely see your hand before you. We fear that it has resulted in much injury to the growing crops, fruits, et. ----- Goldsboro Messenger May 28, 1885 A severe rain storm passed over this section Tuesday afternoon.
