I told Mr. Brogden that I was going towards Mr. Wright's house, and would attend to any business that he might have to transact with Mr. Wright, if he wished it. Mr. Brogden replied that I could not attend to his business, as he wished to see Mr. Wright about a letter. He then went to Mr. Wright's, or in that direction, and in a short time afterwards Mr. Brogden returned accompanied by Mr. Wright, whereupon I saw Mr. Wright deposit a letter in the letter box, and shortly after the Postmaster, Mr. Murray, commenced making up the mail and took a letter from the box, addressed to the North State Whig, to which my attention was called by Mr. Murray's exclaiming, "Who is writing to the North State Whig from this place?" I looked at the letter and saw that the subscription was in the handwriting of Mr. John Wright. All of which I certify to be true.
