The antecedents of this Institution are highly favorable to its character. At the last commencement, we learn, there was a very general approbation by all who had an opportunity of witnessing the improvements of the pupils -- which did great credit to the Principal and his Assistants and to the studious habits of the scholars. From all we can learn, we consider it a school of first rank among the many Female Colleges and Academies now in existence in our State. -- GOLDS.
