Wayne Negro Farmer Dies After Run Over by Cart
Goldsboro, April 28 – John ADAMS, negro, 49, of near Pikeville this county, died 
Friday afternoon following an unusual accident which occurred on the morning of 
the same day. He was driving a two-wheel mule cart along the road when he fell 
from the cart and one wheel passed over his body. He was carried home 
unconscious. It is thought he suffered a stroke of paralysis which caused him to 
fall.
