Night Watchman at State Hospital Succumbs at 76
Goldsboro, March 11 – Sam ANDERSON, 76, died at his home near the State hospital 
at Goldsboro at 9:30 Monday night following an illness of about a year.

Mr. ANDERSON had been night watchman at the State hospital for about eight years 
and was prompt and efficient in his work. He was a member of the First 
Presbyterian church of Goldsboro.  Surviving are his wife and several children.

Funeral services were conducted from the home by his pastor Rev. Peter McINTYRE, 
at 1 o’clock Tuesday and interment was in the family burying ground near Faison.
