Goldsboro News Argus
  Joe Wyatt Baker, 79, a retired farmer of Pikeville, Rt. 2, died early this 
morning in Wayne Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted in 
Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church Friday at 2 p. m. by the Rev. Jack Mayo, 
pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Seymour 
Funeral Home until one hour prior to the services.
  He is survived by his wife, the former Loty Parker; two sons, Floyd of 
Princeton and Tony Baker of Pikeville; six daughters, Mrs. Robert Barlow of 
Greenville, Mrs. Logan Hinnant of Pikeville, Mrs. Maurice Bradford and Mrs. 
James Mooring, both of Goldsboro, Mrs. Mavis Turnage of Snow Hill, and Miss 
Susie Jane Baker of the home; 18 grandchildren.
