Toler One Son - Roland Keith Chestnut - Resides in Kenly, NC Occupation - Prison Guard - U.S. Prison in Goldsboro, NC for 15 years Lifetime farmer Resided on 2330 Dobbersville Rd. for 60 years Died - September 30 1990, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro NC Buried in the Wayne Memorial Park, located on US 117 South Goldsboro, NC Contributor's Note: In reference to Roland Bedford Chestnut, he helped many people in the community, such as Former Wayne County Commissioner, Bobby Futrelle, and Deloit Cotton. He was a Prison Guard for the U.S. Prison, when it was located on Berkeley Blvd., back in the early years. Roland farmed as much as possible until he left the Prison, in early 1954. He farmed and worked as a painter with Professional Home Cleaners of Goldsboro until 1987, when in declining health, he retired. He died on Sunday, September 30, 1990 at Wayne Memorial Hospital around 5:30 PM. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 3, 1990 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and burial was held at the Wayne Memorial Park, on US 117 South.
