Mt. Olive Tribune
Obituary of Martha Louise Williams Davis as it appeared in the Mount Olive 
Tribune on Thursday, June 29, 1933. "Her first husband was Marshall (Ned) 
Williams of Mount Olive."

  Mrs. Martha Louise Davis, age 74, died here at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. D. E. Bowden, Tuesday morning about 4 o'clock. Her death was not 
unexpected. She had been in feeble health for several months and recently had 
been more feeble than usual, and it was realized by attendants that the end 
was near.
  She had been a resident of the Mount Olive community for many years, and was 
held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends.  
  She married twice---first to Ned Williams, and then to the late James Davis.
  From the first marriage, three children survive, namely, W. (William) R. 
(Robert) and M. (Merle) E. (Edward) Williams of Rocky Mount (NC), and Mrs. 
Mittie W. Walters, of Mount Olive.
  And from the second marriage three survive --- James Davis, of Augusta, Ga., 
Mrs.   Esther Kelly, of Baltimore, and Mrs. D.E. Bowden, of Mount Olive.
  Also two brothers, J.J. Millard, of Goldsboro, and C.W. Millard, of Mount 
Olive.
  Funeral services were held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Bowden 
Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock; conducted by Rev. A.E. Rouse, who was 
assisted by Rev. E.N. Johnson, of Mount Olive, and interment was in the local 
cemetery.
