Goldsboro - Funeral services for Dr. David Jennings Rose, 72, State
Senator and education and conservation leader, who died Monday, will
be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Selah Christian Church in Grantham
Township by the Rev. gene Hood. Burial, Joel Rose Cemetery.

Surviving: his wife, Mrs. Virginia Hart Rose; two sons, Conway Joel
and D.J. Rose, Jr., of Goldsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Sam Patrick of
Goldsboro; three brothers, Hubert of Goldsboro, Joel of Grantham and
Hugh Rose of Raleigh; four sisters, Mrs. Rachael Parks and Mrs. Esther
Davis of Goldsboro, Mrs. Hortense Jinnette and Mrs. Emma Hood of
Grantham; nine grandchildren. 1969
