Edgerton, 30, who died at his home in Buck Swamp Township Sunday morning, were held from Whitley Holiness church Monday afternoon with Rev. John Wellons of Micro in charge. Burial was in the Nahunta cemetery. Death resulted from blood poison and typhod fever following a week's illness. Blood poison resulted from an injury to his foot. He is survived by his widow and an adopted daughter, Virginia, his mother, Mrs. Woodard D. Edgerton of Goldsboro, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. F. C. Fitzgerald, Harvey and Gurney Edgerton, Johnston County; Mrs. J. H. Jones, Cumberland County; Mrs. L. J. Hollowell and Vernon Edgerton, Goldsboro. Mr. Edgerton, a farmer, was a member of the Whitley church and held in high regard by all who knew him. Pallbearers were: Clement Bunn, Clarence Bunn, Joe Capps, Joe Waters, Berle Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.
