Wayne County, NC - Obituaries File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by PEGCHARLTON Funeral services for Mrs. L.F. Jones, widow of O.E. Jones, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Stanley's Fueral Home with Rev. Gilmer H. Cross officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Baker, III in Mooresville early today. She was a resident of Goldsboro until 1942 when she moved to Mooresville. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Baker are five grandcildren and one sister, Mrs. Mae Gardner of Woodville. The family will arrive in Goldsboro Tuesday afternoon and receive friends at the home of Mrs. Edna Shannon, 202 E. Pine Street. NOTE: From the writings of Amelious' widow, Maggie Dintiman: A request was made that if our first child would be a boy, that his (Amelious) sister, Lalia Fields would be able to name him after her father, Bennett Curby Fields.
