Wayne County, NC - Obituary of Richard "Dick" Ginn, Sr. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RICHARD GINN SR. June 21, 1935-Sept. 28, 2005 Richard Carl Ginn Sr., 70, of Warsaw, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. The funeral will be held today at 6 p.m. at Warsaw Baptist Church. The Reverends Mitchell Rivenbark, Kenneth Baker and Dan Jolly will officiate. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Devotional Gardens. Mr. Ginn was the son of the late Ed and Clyde Estelle Wade Ginn of Greene County. He is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Ginn of the home; one son, Richard Carl Ginn Jr., and his special friend, Vickie Wells, of Mount Olive; two stepsons, Sheldon Mitchell Batts and his wife, Laura, of Ahoskie and Carlos Anthony Batts and his wife, Audrey Ann, of Warsaw; five grandchildren, Michael Allen Meyer, Erica Jones Ginn, Audrey Rose Batts, Alec Anthony Batts, and Shelton Mitchell Batts II; one sister-in-law, Inez Ginn of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the church following the service tonight, and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
