Pikeville Man Dies Suddenly
       C. S. Gooding, 67, died at his home near Pikeville, Saturday at 
9 p. m., following a stroke. Services were held Monday afternoon from the 
home with Rev. Adlai Future of Patetown officiating.
       Burial was made in the Cobb cemetery near LaGrange, in Greene County. 
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Annie Tucker Gooding; three daughters, Mrs. 
Lilly Bell Jernigan and Mrs. Addie  May Tucker, both of Pikeville, and Mrs. 
Lizzie Walters of LaGrange; four sons, Herbert, David and J. D. Gooding of 
Pikeville, and Robert Gooding of LaGrange; one sister, Mrs. Addie Freeman 
of New Bern; three brothers, Issac, Frank and Furney Gooding, all of 
Pikeville; and several grandchildren.
